About Us

We exist to help promote Mercer and Auglaize Counties as one of the best places to visit, play, build a business, and thrive in the state of Ohio.

The Ohio Grand Lake Region Visitors Bureau is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization serving Mercer and Auglaize Counties in West Ohio. Our purpose is to actively promote tourism in our region through marketing and promotion. We are a membership-based organization that is managed by an Executive Director, a small core staff, and a Board of Directors with members from a broad range of professional backgrounds and locations throughout the two-county region.

The economic impact of tourism has a direct effect on our region, for businesses and neighbors alike. According to statistics from 2023*, direct visitor spending of $160.2 million generated tourism's total economic impact of $267.9 million, including 1,932 total jobs (including full-time and part-time jobs) with associated labor income of $45.6 million. Tourism also generated $34.1 million dollars in total tax revenues, which is estimated to have reduced the tax burden for regional households by $491.

Tourism is economic development. It impacts all of us, and the Ohio Grand Lake Region Visitors Center team and board are dedicated to continuously increasing our region's perception, visibility and impact for the benefit of all.
